I've been caring for the same little girl for about 8 months now. I was never able to carry her before because I had a wrap and a snuggli that she weighed too much for. I FINALLY got an ergo a couple of months ago, and am now able to switch between wearing her (21 months) and my son (12 months). I wasn't sure if she would like it because she has never been worn before, but she LOVED it! Her Mom pulled up to pick her up the first day we tried it, and I was just getting back from a walk...she was amazed how much she loved it and how happy she was.

As a parent, if I put ds in childcare I think I would want him to be worn (if possible), but would secretly be a bit jealous that I wasn't the one holding him. I feel it is very important for the childcare provider to be well connected with the children they are caring for, just as I am with the little one I watch. She has become part of our family. So I do everything with her, that I do with my son.
