Flower Arranging for 2.5 year old

Since it's gardening time and my little guy enjoys presenting the fake flowers in our house, I want to set up a little table outside for him to make small flower arrangements. Has anyone done this? What did you put out there and how old was your kiddo?

I was thinking of getting the self-opening scissors for him from the Michael Olaf catalog (I probably will anyway, maybe one for art and one for flowers). Maybe some small vases? I'm looking for ideas! Or ideas on how to present this to him. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

I think this sounds very nice. You could get a decorative apron and mat to use to set the table, a basin to cut flowers in, scissors, a small pitcher and bucket. Also get a collection of small vases. What a wonderful "present".
