Yesterday at 12:23pm our second daughter, Esme Amelia, was born. She weighed 7 pounds even and was 19 inches long.
Birth was good. Very intense. She was born at home after about 7 hours of labor with only 3 1/2 being hard labor. Overall it took about 4 super intense contractions to push her out and I actually got to catch her. DS was not too happy about that since he wanted to catch but it just didn't work out in the end.
One super funny about the birth was after it was all done. All I kept hearing was a very somber 5 year old saying, "but I didn't want another sister." After about an hour he was happy about having another sister, but in the meantime it was precious to hear him
Esme is a doll, she is a great nurser and has already pooped on me. So all is good in our world.
