knitters - can you help me find....

1) a hat or stitch pattern that features a turtle? This is for my BIL who has cancer and is losing his hair. His totem animal is a turtle and I'd like to find something for him. Barring that, something manley. I've got all the ravely stuff for "turtle hat."


2) I saw a hat once that used a two-color decrease on the top, that kind of made a star pattern. I've got something OTN and I'd like to get it off to start BIL's hat, but I want to do this neat 2-color decrease. I searched Ravelry for" 2-color decrease" and "star decrease" and didn't find anything.

I have a hat pattern that has a slipped stitch design that looks like a turtle shell. If you message me your email address, I'd like to gift it to you to make for your BIL. Cancer sucks.
