YAY! Trader Joes - Page 3

Thanks for the great post! We have two Trader Joes near us--- each 8-10 miles away and I just saw the sign that we're getting one right downtown so I'm looking to shopping there a lot more.

Just wanted to say that I got a great email back from Trader Joe's today thanking me for writing to praise the manager. I know it has to be nice to hear positive comments, so it was definitely worth writing!

Another person here with a good nursing experience at TJs. My son was in a sling and fussy so I nursed him while we were walking around. As I checked out the clerk smiled and said bfing was the best for babies

BTW-that woman must have been looking awfully hard in the window of your car to see that much of anything....nosy old lady!

Trader Joes is AWESOME Love that store. And I nursed both DC's in there numerous times.

TJs is one of the best places to nurse IMO. The staff is always supportive. One time, a staff member got me a chair and a bottle of water so I could sit in the back room (per my request, DD#1 was really needing a full nursing session). It was awesome!!!

TJ's in Cinci is the same...I smiled at a woman nursing in a sling in the check-out line last week. Nobody thought twice about it. And they give balloons to the older kids to keep them happy

I love TJ's!!!!!! Besides having some of the best prices for a lot of the things we buy, their customer service is outstanding! One time one of my kids disappeared while we were shopping. I asked one of the people on the sales floor if he could help me find my son. He rang one of their bells and half the store showed up to help us look. It was amazing! We finally found my son outside swinging on the cart return. It was scary, but I was so grateful for all the help.

That is awesome - after all, this can happen to any mom (especially in a store) and how often do you get dirty looks instead of help when you are frantically looking for your child?

She then walked off. I was completely shocked! I NIP all the time with out comment, and never thought someone would be bothered by my nursing in the back seat of my car.

So a few minutes later the manager from Trader Joes comes out and I'm thinking I'm going to have to prepare for battle. But I was pleasantly surprised that he was just coming out to apologize for the grumpy lady and to tell me I could nurse in the store if I would be more comfortable. Needless to say I was very happy and will be shopping with Trader Joes a whole lot more now :

Wow, weird. Why was she so concerned. Even if your the kind of person that is bothered by that kind of stuff you have to take time out of your day to walk around a store, find the manager, and make a complaint. What do you think is wrong with her?

The only sad part of this story is that woman probably went away thinking you were thrown out and that she taught you some kind of lesson.
