I was SO excited!!!!!!!! How cool.

ETA: in their kids' safety section they had a sign about how babies should remain rear-facing until 1 year old. I politely informed them of the new AAP recommendations and they were very open to looking into changing their info. What a cool place!

Hmm, I need to recommend that to the Children's Museum here.

They've got a room in the preschool area (for under-5s) with a curtain that can be drawn around a rocking chair, that has a international breastfeeding symbol sticker on the door's window.

They also have comfy benches throughout the museum and I've breastfed on most of them and while walking around with no comments except once. And that one time was when the preschool area was closed for maintenance and I walked up and peeked in while nursing Lina and they let me know that I could breastfeed in the area next door. It was pretty clear that they thought I was *looking* for a more private area, so that was okay.

That's great! I never see a sign that mentions pumping. :

Awesome! I've seen the sign at their caregiver center, but not this one. I wonder if the one in Naperville has that too...

How cool! More places totally need that...and to retrain their staff!

That's great!

I remember when I was nursing way back when, and was at one of the Chicago museums and seeing a sign that said, Nursing room, with a picture of a Bottle?

There was a little room off the bathroon with a nice little rocking chair. But, someone needed to get a clue that when you nurse your baby you do not use a bottle.

We visited a few years ago and I nursed my then over 2 yr. old all over the place and just received smiles from all of the workers.
