Midwives in Oahu

Thread Starter
Hi! I am considering moving to Hawaii'kai in a few months, but I am due in December, and am worried about the birth.

I can't find any real birth centers there online, only hospitals claiming to have plenty of OBs on hand... I want a homebirth, but I haven't found any midwives online either.

Can any of you crunchy mommas help me figure out if I can move there?!

Thanks in advance!

I see a great midwife--Linda Chong Tim CNM at Castle Medical Center in Kailua. There are no birthing centers on the island, as far as I know. I think you either use a homebirth midwife or a hospital one.

Maybe check out this link--

Hawaii Kai is a nice area. Pricey too. But very nice.

There's Miriam Abrin. Here's a link. http://www.drthauna.com/07/sg.php?hm_birth

I had a c-section but I know others who have used her services for their homebirths.
