Bridal Shower Gift Help

Hi Mamas, my younger brother is marrying the most wonderful girl this August and her friends are throwing her a shower in May. I'm trying not to spend too much money, but I want to do something nice. My plan was to make a pretty kitchen apron and then purchase the wine glasses off her registry and then buy a nice bottle of wine.

So I just got the invite and it says the theme is romance and has a list of gift suggestions: gift certificates to dinners, candles, lingerie, etc. Well, maybe I'm prude but I don't think I can buy lingerie for my brother's wife

Does my planned gift seem "romantic"? Would it be better to do a his and her theme and add a BBQ apron and homemade spice rub? Better ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You could always suggest she wear nothing but the apron when they are having the wine.

Sorry I could not help myself. I think a pretty apron would be a great gift!

How about trimming the apron with lace or something? She might appreciate something practical like an apron after getting 50 sets of lingerie. Having the wine included covers the romantic aspect, so I think you are covered if you want to include the apron.

I think your gift sounds very romantic. The wine especially, but a nice dinner never hurt anyone in the romance area and that is what I thought of with the apron.
