Sigg baby sippies all right for a 14mo?

I can buy these locally and avoid shipping costs, but are they really practical for a very young toddler--easy to drink out of, hard to spill? It isn't really a true sippy top, right?

I also sort of worry about him dropping and denting it--have you found this to be an issue?

The sigg's for kids are not true sippies, so you would want to open it when you give it to the babe. It will leak if upside down and it will dent if it is dropped on a hard surface. The denting doesn't really bother me, sigg guarantees that denting does not affect the integrity of the inside of the bottle.

I haven't used a sigg for my 14 month old but LOVE the Safe Sippy cups if you have them available. They are ok to keep using once dented because they are steel & won't leach anything yucky. They also have a cute rubbery outer cover that comes off if needed & makes them less likely to dent ( and the dents not obvious). They are dishwasher safe too. We've tried probably a dozen sippy cups & most leaked or were hard for him to use, but this once I've got 2 of and will be the ones I stick with.

My 12 mo uses a sigg and my 3 yo has for a couple years. Yeah, it is a little banged up from when he dragged it on the sidewalk but still cute and usable.

Okay, no, this won't work for us then. I need a no-leak cup for him (he somehow manages to make even THOSE leak). Thanks!

So the SafeSippy won't leak?
