making my TF diet mostly vegetable based?

I have been learning and reading and trying to incorporate TF ideas into my cooking and lifestyle and it has frankly been a struggle to switch over from being a vegetarian and I don't exactly feel like I've ever hit my stride with this.

I have been recently wondering how many of you are eating a more veg. based diet while not shunning meat or animal foods, but not making them the center of your diet? And what does that look like on a day to day basis?

I don't think I want to be fish based either, because we don't live in an an area that gets a lot of fresh fish locally.

I will have eggs from our chickens at some point, I do have 2 raw dairy shares, we are doing a garden and a share at the CSA. I am wondering if with fish oil this could be the "meat" of our diet except on the occassion?

i personally eat mainly meat, but its notable that the swiss villagers in weston price's book ate mainly raw dairy and rye, with meat once a week, so i suppose it would work. Just make sure you eat high quality meat (with the fish make sure it's wild, and from clean waters), and raw dairy and pastured eggs, so you get all the nutrients you need from animal foods.

Yeah, like I said, I have 2 raw dairy shares, we are raising our own eggs and I buy meat in bulk direct from a pastured source, which I didn't mention. The fish, like I said, is not really an option for us.

I would still eat meat, just not everyday, but would do eggs/dairy everyday.

I think if you're including good-quality eggs and dairy you should be just fine with limited meat. Just make sure you cook those vegetables in good fats, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.
