pro-breastfeeding children's books

I am looking for suggestions on "breastfeeding-friendly" children's books - you know, not the kind where "little bunny" meets his sister or brother "baby bunny" for the first time and you see "mommy bunny" feeding him a bottle.

One of my personal favorites is If my mom were a platypus which used to be in the LLL catalogue (I don't know whether they still have it).
Looking forward to your suggestions...

I bought the book "What Baby Needs" by Sears for my nephew and it is really a lovely book.

i found a book called "my new baby" that has two illustrations of mama nursing and no bottles! it is very cute.

also, a book called everywhere babies has a mama nursing. it says something about how everywhere babies are fed... by bottle, by breast, with cup or a spoon..."

another one called "oh baby!" has a real picture of a mama nursing and also no bottles.

My ds LOVES that book. He'll point at each animal and say "deer nana" "monkey nana" etc.

This place has a list of them.

Near Mama's Heart is a good one if you are looking for photographs. It covers all sorts of different bf'ing situations. You can view some of it online here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA3HQG4ouhQ

This is DD's favorite book. She loves looking at the first picture of the baby nursing in the bed.

Thanks a lot for everything so far... I think I'll take some notes on a document or a good ol' piece of paper.

We loved the book "A Teeny Tiny Baby"--it shows nursing as normal, but isn't about nursing.

This is a GREAT book!! My DS loves it, as do I. It shows all kinds of animals nursing, including humans of course, and a mama with baby in a sling... It's such a sweet book.

I'm pretty sure Katie Morag's mum breast feeds (she certainly uses cloth nappies too).

Although not primarily about breastfeeding "Ronia, the Robber's Daughter" has a nice breastfeeding scene at the beginning, when Ronia is born.

That's right, and there is a nice illustration to go with it by Ilon Wikland (at least in the German translation)!
How funny that I have a "rabbitmum" responding after I did the on "mommy bunny"!

That's in the film too, very beautiful, and normal, relaxed, matter-of-course. They also co-sleep, by the way, and Roniawas born at home in the family bed, her mother singing as she gives birth (because it makes it easier, and she believes it will make her baby happier!)!
