i've been making ice cream with pure raw cream - which is very nice!! but i have quite alot of raw milk and was wondering if i can make ice cream with it aswell. do i still need to add extra cream or is the full fat milk enough? is it made in the same way? i use maple syrup to sweeten it. any nice recipes? and can someone explain to me if its just the same as using cream - sorry if this is a stupid question!!

thanks,

This is my go to recipe: Really Raw Ice Cream. You can sub other fruit for the blackberries, but keep the milk-cream-honey proportions the same.

Using milk to substitute for some of the cream makes an icier ice cream rather than a creamier ice cream made from cream.

Here's a truly raw frozen yogurt recipe from my blog

(see below the recipe for the raw milk and honey-as-sweetener variations)

wow - are you making ice cream with *just* cream and no milk? We made it that way one time and it was WAY too rich for us!

The old Betty Crocker cookbooks have good raw ice cream recipes and sometimes you can find them on google. We often make the custard ones where you cook the egg and cream and then add in all the raw milk. Very yummy! We've also done all raw ice creams too.
