Can I use Baby Shampoo on Dog?

My dog woke up smelling HORRIBLE. She has problems with her anal glands and they must have released into her fur last night. We can't even hardly be in the same room with her. I used to have some great doggy shampoo but I guess it didn't make it during our move. I can't go out and get more shampoo right now since dd is sick with chicken pox and really contagious. I do have some basic baby shampoo though. Can I use that? This dog smells so bad.

You can...but dawn dish liquid works better if you ask me. You could also try a baking soda wash. I would think the baby wash wouldn't be strong enough to cut the anal glad smell.

Thanks I do have some Dawn. I just didn't know if it had to be really gentle or what. Maybe I'll just use the Dawn on her hind end and I could use the baby shampoo on her head and stuff so I don't have to worry so much about it getting in her eyes.
