We've been doing a read a long of the studies posted on fourteenstudies.org. We're on the third MMR study. I haven't read it yet, will try to over the next couple of days, but it looks like this one may also look at thimerosal exposure as well.

Pervasive Developmental Disorders in Montreal, Quebec, Canada: Prevalence and Links With Immunizations

BACKGROUND. The prevalence of pervasive developmental disorders has increased in recent years. Links with the measles component of the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine and the cumulative exposure to thimerosal through other vaccines have been postulated.

Please read the study and share your thoughts. Here are Deborah's original questions.

As you read the article, here are some questions to ask yourself:
1) What are the authors trying to figure out?
2) Why are they looking at this question?
3) What means do they use?
4) Would you approach the problem in the same way? Or?

Just wanted to mention that the AAP has put up a list of studies with commentary. Here it is: http://www.cispimmunize.org/Vaccine%20Studies.pdf

It is titled: Vaccine Studies: Examine the Evidence

according to the date on the AAP site, it went up on 4/2/09

the Generation Rescue Fourteen Studies site was announced on Age of Autism on 4/9/09

So it looks as though the AAP got there first! But they don't provide full-text on the studies, for the most part.

Interesting to compare the two lists. And the commentary.
