i should have checked BEFORE i knitted. but i knitted dd some slippers in pf yarn and felted them in the machine AND put them in the dryer. they BARELY shrunk what do i do? does this stuff not felt?

It does felt, but it takes a lot to get it to felt. Probably a couple more go-rounds should do it - I would just throw them in the next few loads of laundry you do until they felt up.
Helen felted her PF cardi down... hold on...

here is her Rav link for it.

Helen? Advice?

It will felt if you keep on doing what you are doing. Never quite like cascade though. That is why I love pf- if I accidently throw something in the wash out of it- it shrinks enough to let me still be able to live with it!

I would throw it in with every load of towels/sheets you have until you get it shrunk enough....

GL!

Keep agitating it...over and over. It takes a lot! Are you adding dishsoap to break down the natural goodies on PF?

thank you thank you ladies

Yes, that is a cool thing about PF - it really softens up. I have a soaker out of Lauren's Coral that I have machine washed a couple times, not quite felted but just sort of thickened up, and it is soooo soft, I love to pet it!
