Surprise! they were hiding from me!

Was quite bummed to see the belly pictures DH took yesterday.
I was so proud to have gone to 2 pregnancies without stretch marks.
Well, wouldn't have that been nice... Well there are some hidden under my belly. I just cannot see there!

When I asked about it DH seemed very surprised to see that I did not know they were there. All I could say was that he should have told me they were there! Kinda silly when I think back about it. I can only imagine how a guy would not want to announce to a hormonal and very pregnant wife that she's got stretchmarks! ... if he can even realize that she cannot see them.

And I am short, so most mirrors in my house are too high to see the underside of my belly too.

The same thing happend to me with my first pg. Poor dh. I said the same thing to him. But yeah, what guy is going to enter that minefield! LOL
It's okay, they fade to pretty silvery color and become your mama tatoos to prove your adventure.

Sounds like a wise man there! lol I'd probably have the same reaction. I however have stretch marks all the way to my bra line none(that i know of) from THIS pregnancy however.

my oldest 3 like checking out my preg belly and asking which stretch marks are theirs..... DD#1 was the one who gave me the one that hit my bra line. most are from DS#1 which is crazy casue FT(38w2d) i was 28cm, wearing some 'regular" pants still and he was only 5lb7oz. Oh well.

Funny how DH's will "kindly" inform us about some things ..usually that we DONT want to hear.. then dont tell us on ones we do/might want to hear

Guess what I discovered today ... stretch marks are shiny! I have all these little purple lines that I've never been able to decide about for sure--are they stretch marks or just blood vessels? But I was looking in the mirror today with the light off, so the light was coming from the outside window a ways away, and I could see little shiny marks on my belly. Guess they're stretch marks.
