I am currently volunteering for 2 days at a special needs group foster home in China. I am a social worker, and am giving recommendations on things for the children. I want to recommend that they start using carriers/slings, as many of the children are not held at all (toddlers ages 1.5-4) even with a 3 to 1 ratio. Since this is a very small, poor village they obviously can't order them online or purchase in store. Are there any online directions that I can pass on that they could make them on their own? Also - are there any journal articles that I can pass on to the director about the benefits of carrying? In Mandarin would be great, but I know I'm asking a lot.
