Spray on waterproofing?

Is spray on waterproofing okay for AIO diapers?

I got some at Walmart today, wanted to try it out for a couple diapers for my DD. Is it worth it?

It was fairly cheap (under $5 for a pretty good sized can) so no loss really.

It's called Silicone Water-Guard Heavy Duty Water Repellent.

I have only used it on my Bummis snap covers, never tried it with an AIO and I'm not sure I would for fear of getting some of it on the actual absorbant part.

Are you having a problem with leaking?

No, I was wanting to try my hand at making diapers. The instructions are pretty clear about dry time so of course I'd let it dry for the whole length of time

If this is the same stuff I'm thinking of, (DH used it on his work boots) it had some sort of 'super-nasty dangerous chemical' warning on it.
