Okay, I'm good. Can we just end the season now and call it a four way tie?

Last night, on the second to last note that he held for a long time and then came down the scale out of instead of just abruptly ending...I stood up and practically yelled (alone in my house) "WHAT?? WHAT??? NO WAY!!" He just blows me away!!!!!! He's perfection!!! When can I buy his whole cd? I will be a fan for life no matter how bad any cd is because he could sing the phone book to the tune of Jingle Bells and I'd be happy!
Agreed.

I think several of them have done that, but I'm not sure. At least two, because I know I had seen it done already by last year--I'm thinking Taylor didn't ever choose. So Adam put himself in the group with Danny and Allison. I wonder if he thought he would be in the top three or if he thought that he would be in the bottom three. He could play it either way.

I enjoyed Taylor's performance tonight.

Elise, thanks for letting me know what the judges said about Kris. He was safe last night, and now that's all that matters to me! : I'm sorry to see Matt go, but better Matt than Kris.

Kris is cocky? What? I don't see that at all. Danny, yeah.

I was stunned to see Adam in the bottom three. When they sent Kris back to safety (yay!), my husband pointed out that it didn't necessarily mean that Kris had more votes than Adam. Later, though, Ryan referred to Matt and Adam as the bottom two. What a reality check that must have been for Adam!

Before the result was announced, my husband said, "If Adam is voted off, that would make the news above the swine flu, wouldn't it?" ;-)

I loved Natalie Cole last night! The song she sang wasn't one of my favorites, but I still think she's great. I used to play her CDs (Unforgettable; Take a Look) to soothe my fussy babies. The band sounded incredible. I this genre.

I think its more of a reality check for his fans. A lot of people may have voted for another contestant they thought were in danger of being kicked off, thinking that Adam would be safe no matter what. I have seen it happen on previous seasons.

That's what I was thinking too, like w/Michael last season.
For me, if Adam were voted off I'd be done w/Idol this season. He's the only reason I watch.

Good point, Smalls. Still, I think it must have been a bit of a shock for Adam to find himself in the bottom two.

He's clearly the best singer--he has a huge range and never hits bad notes. On the other hand, I still think the competition is partly about whose recordings people actually would want to buy. I wonder whose downloads are most popular on iTunes.

This show just became less exciting for me, now that I can no longer root for my hometown hero.

At least he made it to the top 5 though! I'll be waiting to see what he does after this for sure!

Ryan is such a jerk...I truly hate it when he does crap like that!! Makes me wanna jump through the screen and kick him hard!! These kids are under enough pressure. I never really thought of Adam as cocky, to me he is just a "what you see is what you get" kind of guy and I really like that about him. What Ryan did to him last night made him appear a bit arrogant and I am disappointed that he was put it that position. ::HUGS:: Adam....your fans still love you!!

I really really want Allison to win, even though I am a huge Adam fan and well ya know Danny is my boyfriend now. : I know she won't win, I just really like her and I think I'm going with the underdog now. She has an awesome voice and I think she's just a cute 17 year old kid. IMO she's wayyyy more talented than Miley Syrus....with the right manager and marketing she could have some longevity, not that I think she's the new Disney pop sensation. I just think there is a real market out there for her. I do wish her well no matter what.

I hate to say this but if it comes to a Danny and Adam finale, I might not be able to vote! They may have to put on the boxing gloves for real and battle it out. Fight to the death!! :

Adam's songs are the most downloaded, and his song "Mad World" is the #1 downloaded song this year.

Kris is second, with Danny third.

It may be an Adam/Kris finale, which I hope for. I can't stand Danny. I think he's arrogant.

Adam is still in it so I am happy.
Putting Adam in the bottom 3 added a little drama to it, I was about the fall off my couch. LOL!

Ok, I guess I'll just have to live with Adam.

I guess my favorite can't win every year. ;-)

I think the right person went home, even tho I thought Matt was interesting.

Ryan did the same thing to David Cook last year, asking him which side he should be on (I think it was David) and as I recall, he sat down in the middle and refused to pick a side. At least Adam knew who the top two were.....and really, ADAM was in the middle of both groups.

Anyone want to guess who will be the final two??

Im thinking it could be Danny Or Alison........and Adam. Depends on what genres are coming up. Im thinking Alison should sale through on the rock vibe as will Adam .....for next week.
Ah, it looks like there are a lot of Adam fans here :P I hope I'm not the only one who doesn't like him that much. I find him rather annoying, but to each their own.

I honestly was surprised that he actually picked a group last night. I think he knew Matt was going to be in the bottom 3 personally, but who knows. I just couldn't understand why he just didn't refuse to pick.

That being said, I really think everyone in the final 4 deserve to be there. I've love to see a Kris, Allison, Adam final, but Danny seems to know how to play the vote, and I'm not sure he's going to go anywhere real soon.

Jamie Foxx was right though- they all have a future in the business no matter what they do with the competition at this point now.

Was anyone else really impressed with Jamie Foxx? This may have already been discussed right after the performances, but man, I really liked him. I didn't expect him to be so insightful and genuinley sincere. I think he was the best mentor of the season.

I agree completely! I can't say I loved his performance last night (the word "cacophony" sprang to mind), but I thought he did a great job as a mentor.

anyone looking forward to Slash mentoring next week?

Joe was almost in tears when Adam hit the bottom two, if he'd've gone home it would have been like losing Sanjaya all over again lol... (for him, not me. I love Adam but did NOT care for Sanjaya. Just to be clear. )

I love Adam, do not see him as cocky or showy at all. I think the right person went home last night, & I am hoping the final three are Allison, Danny & Adam. I would like to see Danny or Allison win just because then Adam will have more freedom in his recording contract BUT... I have to think of Joe's feelings lol- he would love to see Adam win...

I can't wait for next week. Slash is awesome and I can't wait what the last 4 are going to pick for songs!

Yes, me! I'm so excited!

Last night almost killed me, I was like "WHAT!?" It was Micheal Johns all over again Thankfully the right person went home.

I hope they pick good songs next week. I can't imagine what Kris will do?
