Your favorite "mainstream" links?

I'm taking an internet microbiology course right now, and as part of it, we have to post a discussion on various virulent microbes. Measles, tetanus, and pertussis were all chosen by students and have posted providing an alternate view of the vaccines. There is a lot of sceptisism though, and I'd like to be able to back up my arguments with links not related to anti-vax sites if possible (they view those sites as sketchy and not true resources).

Thanks! This discussion (in class) is helping me review my personal stance as well. One can never be too informed, kwim?

I did post this graph: http://www.healthsentinel.com/graphs...rint_list_item which cites Vital Statistics data, but that's all I've found so far.

have found the Institute for Vaccine Safety to be helpful. It's run by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I think they are pro-vaccine, but they do have a lot of information for those who actually want to know details about each vaccine. You can look up the components of every vaccine available in the US as well as information about each "vaccine preventable disease. the stuff I've read downplays the possible adverse reactions, but I have also used the vaccine component table frequently. For instance, I found the multi-dose vial of DT contains mercury and the single-dose injection has trace amounts. You can also read the vaccine inserts, which I've also found interesting. Another for instance, 95% of recipients of DTaP showed sufficient anti-body levels after only TWO injections, but they still want all children to receive FIVE doses! Why not do two doses, then draw titer to see if the kid needs more?? anyway, here's the link.
