Anyone else NOT ready?

So I'm not ready. Nope, not even close.

In any way.

Things aren't all bought, I'm scared of delivery, I'm not ready for newborn care again, birthplan not finished.....

Anyone else?

Yep, as much as I want the baby I am not ready either. My list is endless.

I'm starting to feel better about most things, but we still need to do some shopping and finish the nursery. My mom was in town for over a week and she helped me get everything in better order, so I do feel better.
As for actually having the baby, yes, I'm nervous. And excited.

Me, me, me, me! We finally bought a few of the things we really wanted on hand before the baby arrives (like a dresser/changing table), but they're still sitting in boxes, and probably will be until this weekend. I still have hardly discussed labor plans with my mw (surely that must come up soon at the appts, right??) We don't have a name. And yep, the list goes on.

ME!!

I am 36 weeks today but something is telling me I may not get to my due date of may 27th. We are right now in this mad rush of purging all our stuff and packing some boxes and getting ready for the big move after baby is born. Plus I have a bunch of diapers left to sew and covers. Don't have names at all and if this is a boy he's going to be wearing pink cause we only have girls clothes(donated to us). Eeek!

I feel like I'm ready physically...but definitely not mentally. And definitely not ready location-wise I'm still in Iowa (business meetings) and have to fly home on Thursday. I'm 36 weeks today. Can't wait to just GET HOME and prepare for this babe!

Not ready here either. Although I am ready for the couple of days in the hospital afterwards so I can get some sleep. (How terrible is that?)

I'm not either. Need to re-do my birth plan. Considering buying a different car seat b/c I installed the infant one and hate it. Need to finish packing my back and put the bags and boppy in the van.

I'm not in the mind set that I'll have a baby here shortly, either which I don't think helps!

I am not ready.

Oh, car seat and hospital bag. Those would be good things to take care of too. At least she won't have to go naked though--I have gone through and washed my newborn and 0-3 mo hand-me-downs.

More ready than I was a week or 2 ago, but not where I'd like to be. I do have the birth plan done, although have to tweak a couple things. Baby clothes and diapers are washed. We have a car seat although it's still in the box. I also finished ordering what we need for diapers. Taxes are done

I'm having a mother blessing and one last shower Sat. & Sun. so after that I'll finish getting the last odds 'n ends. Oh and dh and I were given money from my mom and grandma for a king sized bed. Probably should make that purchase sooner vs. later.

The "baby" room still has a lot of my crap in it that needs to be cleared out, although I have been making progress.

I guess the short answer is yes and no. The most common question I keep getting from everyone is "so, do you have the nursery done????" Um, not so much and it really doesn't matter Although I would like to at least have something set up for a changing area.

Am I ready? Uh..... no. My list of stuff to do is a mile long and only growing longer the more I think of things that will be 1000x harder after the baby comes.

As for actual baby things though... well, I am not quite prepared for the birth but I'm getting there. Car seat is in the car, boobs are on standby, clothes and diapers are washed and in the drawers of the changing table. So the essentials are covered at least. It's just all the other things that aren't!

Nah, you don't even need that. Use one of the many tiny (and frankly otherwise useless because they are too small) receiving blankets that you've undoubtedly recieved as a gift by now as a changing "pad" and change on your bed or the floor or couch.

I still have things that I don't have for my home-birth kit and still have a belly cast to do (early next week) and DH has some stuff that he promised me that he would do and totally hasn't even started on yet : I can see that we're going to be doing my belly cast while I'm in labour Oh, and we haven't even TALKED about names yet, so this kid will be nameless like the first was for a few days! (And some friends/family are really bent out of shape by that!)

OK, seems like the farther along I get the less ready!

My biggest project is cleaning the guest room out. We found out last year that DS is severely allergic to our 12 year old cats, so the poor kitties were confined to the guest room downstairs sicne then. We bought a beautiful little garden shed for the cats to live in (air conditioned, carpeted.... nicer than our guest room!) so I've been trying to get all teh allergens out of the guest room. Washed the walls and the carpet today, but want to do that again tomorrow just to make sure I got it all. Then need to clean the attached bathroom....

Ugh, I'm so uncomfortable that all this work is REALLY hard. Not sure how I'll get it done.
