carriers for hot weather??

Thread Starter
Hi,
I wear my son (almost 9 months) a lot and live in a city so I walk a lot with him. Recently we've had a preview of the summer with some 90 degree days and this won't be unusual in the summer. Wearing him is soooo hot! He still want to be worn but he and I get really warm, it doesn't seem to bother him.

I use an Ergo the most and also a wrap and ring sling. He's rather big, already 24 lbs and I would love to hear an recs for carriers in the hot weather. I understand there will be some sweat involved in the summer, but if there was something better for heat. I'm interested in the mei tei. I know there are ring slings made with solar veil for heat and uv protection but ring slings don't go the distance with me and carrying his weight.

Hope there hasn't already been a thread on this....
Thanks!

A leightweight Mei Tai might be nice and also you could try a really simple backpack with a frame. Kelty makes a fairly simple one that we used for hiking walking in the summer months~it's all gonna be hot if you're carryin a big baby anyway, right

I'm getting a Vatanai wrap, apparently they are one of the best warm weather wraps.
