Hedgehogs?

A coworker of my husband has offered us a baby hedgehog.

I have 2 boys (4 & 2) does this sound like a good idea to you? :

It does to me... but what do I know? I'm sure a hedgie expert will come along and tell me I'm wrong, lol.

All I know about hedgies is that they like their homes clean and they tolerate being held but it's not necessarily their favorite sport.

Hedgehogs are weird little critters. They require special handling and foods. They get stressed easily. I think it would be more of a pet that gets watched by your little ones rather than held all the time. But I am sure it could work if you really wanted it to. There are several hedgehog forums online that you could browse and see if a hedgehog is for you.
