Well something is going on finally

DH and I dtd earlier this afternoon Since then I've been having some back contractions and lots of sharp pain/pressure in my cervix. This would be day 5 of diarrhea for me so I'm very happy to at last have something going on. I've been sitting at 3cm and 75% effaced for the last month as well. This is entirely different from DS's labor where contractions started immediately and were time-able, this time its just kind of sporadic and slowly gaining in intensity. I may still be pregnant tomorrow, who knows. Today would be a good day to have a baby though

I still don't know for sure, I've had some definite contractions and then just general cramping in my back and hips since about 3pm. I'm starting to feel really nauseous as well. I hate this part because I don't want to believe its labor and get my hopes up about it, and I don't want to call my midwife right away if its not the real thing since she's an hour and a half from me. Something is going on for sure, whether its just my body messing with me or the real thing I have no idea.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and call her. Just to update her. She doesn't have to come just yet, and it might be nice to get some reassurance.

Some kind of progress is being made because whatever cervix I can still feel is pretty much gone, so I'm pretty close to 100% effaced. I feel like I haven't done any work yet though, the contractions have been super manageable and are just now starting to get regular. We got the birth pool all set up just in case a baby comes tonight, I'm going to give my midwife a call in a bit as well just to update her. Send me lots of labor vibes!
