Breastfeeding/Pumping Friendly Employer In Pennsylvania? (X-posted)

I am looking for a Pennsylvania employer who accommodates workplace pumping and would be willing to testify about it at a PA State House Committee Hearing in Bryn Mawr on May 8th. Short notice I know but this Hearing has just been scheduled concerning possible workplace pumping legislation for Pennsylvania and a legislative staffer has asked for my help. I will be testifying (as well as several other people) concerning the need for workplace pumping legislation in PA but we are looking for an employer. Help!

Many thanks in advance. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post here.

Also I have rarely heard of pump friendly employers in PA. I would love to hear from anyone who has had one, even if the employer is unable or unwilling to come to the Hearing.

This resource may have what you are looking for: http://www.pabreastfeeding.org/

If you scroll down the page you will find a list of employers/organizations that received Breastfeeding-Friendly Business Awards.

Yeah, started there. Sadly, policies are one thing, supporting real live employees tends to be another, being willing to testify is yet a third.

Good suggestion, though! Looks like we are in the same location.

I no longer work there, but...

Kimberton Whole Foods (based in Kimberton) is very bf friendly ( posted, plus signboards that stating bf was welcome). I don't think they had an actual policy regarding employees pumping, but it was never an issue. The owner and my manager, in particular, were extremely supportive and accommodating when I needed to pump.

I don't know that any one would be able to testify, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Good luck!
