Maya tie... do you like it? Does it work for a newborn?

I love my Maya Tie! I have a ton of wraps and Mai Teis, and I always reach for the Maya Tie first.

What I like most about it:
-The straps are wide, like a wrap, so the weight distributes well across my back and shoulders (which I find far more comfortable than padded straps that sit like a backpack), and are super comfortable for both front and back carries.
-Easy to put DD on my back without any help.
-BEAUTIFUL hand-loomed fabric & colors!
-There is a good sized pocket that fits a spare diaper, my wallet, keys, and cell phone without being overstuffed or bulky.
-Folds down small for storage. We made a drawstring bag to transport it in the diaper bag.
-Washes well and gets softer and softer.

I'm trying to think of something I don't like about it--maybe that there is a lack of fabric selection?? That's about it.

I love the Maya Tie--I'm honestly surprised it's not a more popular carrier!
