My 8 year old has mild acne, HELP!!!!!

I think my dd has a mild form of acne. I am not ready, this seem way to soon. I don't want to do anything harsh to her face, I am at a lost. Any advice would help

Are you sure it's acne? Could it be eczema or a skin reaction? My dd is 4 and when she has a skin reaction to something, it first appears as red bumps that look a lot like acne (her doc assures me that it's not). Dd has very sensitive skin, so any kind of lotion or sunscreen has the potential for setting her off.

If it's acne, I think cleansing once or twice daily with a gentle cleanser is a good idea, and then an oil free lotion to keep her skin from getting itchy. Try to get her not to pick at them, as that only makes them worse.
