What the lines on your CBFM test stick mean!!!
The first line the one closest to the wick "where you Pee" is the LH line it gets darker the more lh that is present in your urine. the second line the one furthest from the wick "where you pee" is the estrogen line and that line actaully gets lighter when you have an increase in estrogen in your urine. so as you get closer to ovulation the first line will become darker as the 2nd line becomes lighter.

Yay for May!

I'm on CD12 and hope to get some Mother's Day lovin' ahead of time

my monitor just started asking for sticks today (it thinks it's cd9). Glad that I didn't mess it up when I quit testing after my peak last cycle.

Has anyone had their monitor start asking for sticks later than day 9? I just once want to use only 10 sticks in a cycle.

not to quote myself but i had just said that and then noticed that you said the same thing, so i scrolled up and check - and the date is as of 5/1! so that's why. it's just in the future. heh. now i get it! so i figured i'd pass the info on to you too.

thank youuuuuuuu! i am so thankful i used the monitor this cycle - i would not have BD'ed those last two times and i would have missed the boat!!!

Lol sorry ladies! yes the info is as of May 1st, I just had some free time yesterday to start the thread. lol I try to update the first of the month and again half way through the month so everyone's information corresponds. Hope that doesn't make it too confusing. I just think it makes it easier to see who is approaching ovulation or who is waiting for that . Which I hope we get lots of this month

Pretty sure I'm waiting to know. I think I ovulated yesterday. My monitor sticks came too late for me to try this cycle, so hopefully I'll get a bfp and will have wasted all of my money If not, at least I have a new ttc toy!

normally my timing is awful, so atleast this month I have a chance. Dh works late tonight and dd and I have a girl scout parade out of town tomorrow.

Hi ladies!

I want to buy one of these after I see my dr today to see if this is an ectopic or what is going on with me. I found a lady on craigslist selling a CBEFM but she said she bought it in July of 08 and got pregnant in August of 08. That would make it almost 2 years old. Would you still get it?

I don't WANT to spend 150 bucks on a new one, but would rather do that then end up buying 2 or 3 used ones that don't work.

Also, my DH is horrified about buying one of these used, any advice on how to get it clean? And you're sure this isn't gross?!

I bought mine used about 6 years ago and I have a family member I loaned it to and it still works fine.

When I got mine, I wiped it down really good with one of those lysol disinfectant wipes. lol

I TTC for a full year and got my BFP the first month using it and then on the second month using it for my second son. To me it's worth it's weight in gold. Good luck to you!!

the pee stick has a cover you put over the wick end before you put it in the monitor. So pee never touches any part of the monitor. The stick is read through a plastic window on the stick. I wouldn't think twice of using a used one (I did buy new, but due to my issues with ebay)


I just testing uses a cheapie OPK. Just to see what a peak would look like and I got the darkest pos I've ever seen. I'm so happy I just have to use 10 sticks this month.

i spent $50 on one that was 1.5 years old bought from someone on craigslist. you pee on the sticks, cover the pee end with a cap, and then put them in the monitor. it would be REALLY hard to get pee on the monitor - there is nothing gross about it unless you're buying used pee-sticks! heh. i wiped out the test stick area with an alcohol wipe and it worked just great for me. and bonus, without it, i might have missed my O date! i thought i O'd earlier than i did, but when i got those peak readings i was like "GET TO WORK HUBBY!"

k so I'm probably going to go pick mine up tomorrow, can someone explain to me how check to make sure it works? I'm assuming it needs batteries, if she doesn't have any what should I bring to make sure?

I'm 2dpo, which bring to mind my first question, do you count day 1 of peak or day 2 of peak as your O day?

Had a very very early chemical last cycle, O'd 14 days later, so now we're waiting with our finger tightly crossed!!
