HCG and Progesterone levels? - Page 2

post #21 of 39
I will be having a closely monitored first trimester due to recurrent losses. I am happy with our first set of betas: 12DPO-65 14DPO-192. Progesterone was 53.

Yay for all the great #s!!

I just got my 18DPO (third and final) results as well:

hcg = 2079
prog. = 70

More than doubled from 16DPO so I'm relieved at this point At least I'm getting a good start!

9 DPO: 10
11 DPO: 34
15 DPO: 344
18 DPO: TBD (will be the last one I think!)

i have been having betas done, too. i agree that numbers don't necessarily mean anything, but it's something risk-free that i can do to have some small measure of reassurance. my miscarriage was at nearly 12 weeks, so i understand the need to have betas done for the whole first trimester. though, i'm so tired of being poked that i'm up for a break!

12 dpo: hcg 21, prog 30.7
14 dpo: hcg 94, prog 32.7
18 dpo: hcg 650

(my dpos might not be accurate due to my wonky cycles, but they're a good guess.)

are you going to have it drawn every 2 days for the whole first trimester?

I just had my first Dr's appt - my OB is really nice and wants to do TLC style care, lots of reassurance and check ups. So I'm waiting to find out about my TSH levels and my betas, and then I'll have the betas checked again thursday. I had a really nice thick line on my last BFP, so I think I should be ok. :

I just got my results back. Even though this is my first pregnancy DH really wanted a blood test confirmation, and I just wanted that reassurance that we were of to a good start.
At 12 DPO HGC:159 Progesterone: 17.4

From looking at all your guys numbers the HGC looks really good, but the progesterone. My midwifes office assistant told me both numbers were within range.

Ok, so at 19 DPO my hCG is at 872. My TSH is a little high at 3.7 so I'm going to bump up my thyroid drugs a little.

I don't supose that it is possible to work your numbers backwards? I am guessing everyone is too different for that.

I am just trying to pinpoint my conception date. Because the first set of numbers I have seem to be way too low for what I was thinking.

I had 180 on Friday and then four days later had 1910. But these were done by different doctors, so they come from different labs, and possibly that could affect them.

It is just that the 180 was like 32 days after my LMP and like 22 days past when I thought I O'd. It just seems so low for those dates. Perhaps I am just over thinking things.

oh no, i'm done now, unless i have spotting. it's difficult to cart three kids to the lab and keep the toddler from running away or breaking things, and keep the eldest from figuring out why we're there. so far, they know i'm getting "general testing" done. that explanation won't last long!

trying to figure out HCG and Progesterone levels

I have one awesome baby boy : and had one miscarriage last year now preg again and at 4 weeks my levels were HCG-over 500 and progest was 95. With the miscarriage my progest was low but HCG was high. I've been having some mild cramping. Cant stop worrying and very bloated! I'm only 51/2 weeks now. Anyone know if these levels and symptoms are good?

They drew and HCG at my appointment on friday, I should have been 5w 3d (24 DPO) and it was 761.... They told me that was in the range for 3-5w AND 6-10w... but everything on the internet says it's low

Since it was in their range they don't want to repeat....

I'm surprised they don't want to do more than one test. It's really about how it's going up, not just one number. Is that the first one you had?

Sounds good to me! How many dpo was the test done at? Will they do another one to test doubling time?

Progesterone sounds great!

Yep, that was the first one and since it's in their range or normal they don't want to repeat it. I do have a dating u/s for the 25th. I'm just going to do my best not to worry.

hcg at 13DPO - 257
hcg at 24DPO - 15,236
(was on vacation in between so that's why the 2 draws were spaced out)

Woohoo!!!!!
