Monthly breakdown:
$33 on fast food. Not horrible considering.
$14 on fabric. I guess that's OK but I don't want it to be the beginning of the slippery slope that starts me buying waaaaay too much fabric again.
$4 on an ink pad. I really wanted to do DS' footprints as I missed out on my chance to do DD's.
$3 on a shirt for dd. Really silly. She has so much to wear already.
$4 on my favorite soap ever. It really does give me at least $4 of happiness.

I did manage what I figured nearly impossible. I paid off the remaining pellet stove balance in one month! Now to prepare for another tight month. We are going to have to spend a decent amount of $$$ on repairs to get our vehicle inspected. :

Oh...my...goodness...to say May got away from me a bit on the daily posting front would be a ginormous understatement. Did fairly well, all things considered (those "things" including half a dozen b-day parties, 1st communion, annual Memorial Day vacation, etc.). Just finished updating M/S Money, so have hard #'s for $'s; guessing as to other totals. No chance I will catch up on May activity; hope the month was a good one for all of you, and looking forward to seeing you much more frequently in June!

end of month wrap-up: for the first time EVER!! i came in at budget for groceries!! that is HUGE for me! also, i'm over budget but still less than since i started tracking... i'm saying that this thread is good for me and i'm in for june, it's going to get tight as out income is basically dropping in half unless i get a job.

No-spend guru? Oh my goodness no.

Just the opposite.

I am a compulsive spender who spends money for emotional reasons -- I've gotten us into BIG financial trouble with this.

I do these threads because they help me work on this problem and help me recognize when I'm spending money compulsively.

You can rest assured that I am never judging anyone on this thread.
