Looking for pediatricians who are ok with parents not vaccinating in Brooklyn, NY

Hi everyone, I am looking for a pediatrician in Brooklyn, who is fine with parents not vaccinating their children. Does anyone have any recommendations? :

We like Tribeca Pediatrics. They'll keep bringing up the vax question but ultimately defer to your decision. They've been cool with our delayed/selective schedule and our doctor is very willing to talk out the logistics of individual shots.

There are quite a few that will respect your decision. Look at Park Slope Parents website for recommendations. They have a lot of reviews on quite a few peds in Brooklyn.

Dr. Ajl is your best bet, but the reality is that many practices are very willing to defer to parents on this issue. Most will defer for selective vaxers more that no vax at all, especially as the kids get older.

When we lived in Brooklyn, we used Dr. Ajl and liked him. He didn't rush to over treat illnesses, either. Also, he always returned calls very quickly. I'm surprised you are having trouble getting through to him. You may want to verify that you have current contact information because he switched hospitals a few years ago.

Another vote for Tribeca Pediatrics. Dr. Tholany and the nurse-practitioners there always ask but have never, ever pressured us. In fact we just went yesterday and I think the NP we saw was actually kind of pleased we don't vax, plan to breastfeed past a year, cloth diaper, cosleep, etc.
