Hello All!
My mild pre-e started to get the best of me, so I was transferred to hospital care and admitted last Friday evening for induction. My labor was super intense but I progressed really fast (I went from nothing to complete in less than a day). I ended up pushing for 4 hours, but the babe wouldn't budge past a certain point (I could see about 3 inches of head). After a failed attempt at a vacuum extraction, and some thick meconium leaking out, the next step was repeat c-section. Anyway, by the time I got the spinal and was lying on the table, I realized that this was the best I'd felt all day
. So, although I didn't get my VBAC, I'm so glad to have had the chance to at least try to push out the baby, I'm totally fine with the c-section. I'm head over heels for my new little guy, and we're very happy to be home and learning how to be a family of four.
