Just wanted everyone to know I found out today that Sam's Club has started to accept food stamps/EBT at all their stores.

As a service to our members during the current economic environment:

We recently started accepting government-issued EBT cards for the purchase of products within our Clubs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Clubs that accept EBT:

We currently accept EBT at all Club locations.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please Note:
Because of product size requirements, products carried by Sam's Club do not qualify for the WIC program.
For more information, please visit www.fns.usda.gov/wic for a list of qualifying products and sizes.

I hope Costco starts doing it, too.

I despise Wal-Mart & associated stores but I have to give a big for this. I know it's a business decision--- there are more people on food stamps then ever before and I notice they say "during the current economic climate" but at least it's a first step.

has anyone used FS at a Sam's?

I'm nervous about trying, but I looked up prices online and there are some things they are WAY cheaper on than my grocery, even when factoring in the cost of a cab to get there and back.

I have used foodstamps/EBT card at Sam's. You just do it like you would anywhere else. Remember though, you need a Sam's membership in order to shop there.

thanks - we've got a business membership {HIGHLY recommend as Gold key hours is when they put out most clearance} that we've managed to keep up to far. I haven't shopped there in months though because of the lack of $$$ issues - good to know I can go now!
