super wash wool for soakers?

I'm thinking about buying the LTK cover pattern and making some covers and I've found a good deal on superwash wool. Will this work or is it treated with something that makes it less waterproof? What makes it more washable than regular wool?

Here's the website if anyone else is looking for wool yarn (they have non-superwash too).

You'll find this is a hot topic! I have used superwash successfully. Some people really don't like it.

Just my humble opinion

I think you can use it but won't find it quite so good. I would use a lanolin-infused wool wash too, just to make sure. I've always been told that wool with a lot of lanolin in it is best.
