Has anyone seen it?

It's coming to San Diego this summer for a month and I really want to see it. I've heard some good critic reviews but I don't know anyone who has seen it and would like to hear what others think.

I saw it a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I hadn't read the book, and really didn't know anything about it before going. I thought it was great!

I saw it in Chicago a few years ago. It was AWESOME. It's currently playing in my town now in FL and my mom and I are going in a few weeks. It's one of those that I could see over and over. So entertaining and well written.

I saw it in its first season in San Francisco before it headed to Broadway.

It was gloriously fantastic!!!

The music was great, the storyline fairly true to the book and fun to watch, the costuming was creative.

I'd recommend it to essentially anyone!

Fabulous! I've seen it twice and would definitely see it again.

I saw it about 2 years ago in London and it was fan-tas-tic!!! Hands down the best musical I'd seen in a loooong time. Hope you get to see it

It's awesome. I'd highly recommend it. Could you get a hold of the soundtrack and listen to it? Or, if you go to youtube, there are some good clips.

Oh yay! I am glad others really liked it. I'll have to start looking for tickets. It will be here over DH's and my anniversary so I thought it would be nice to go for that but didn't want to bother if no one liked it.

I haven't heard anything from the soundtrack except what I hear on the radio ad. I like what I hear on that though- I'll have to look at YouTube for more, that's a good idea.

If you use Wicked and Tonys as your search terms, you can find the performance they did for the Tony awards.

The only people I know who've seen it are really into musicals and adored it.
So if you like musicals a lot, you'll probably like Wicked.

However, them gushing about it and constantly singing bits of it to each other, is what made me realize I'm not into musicals.

My dh and I are not musical types at all, we both absolutely loved Wicked. We saw it in Chicago and it was wonderful.

: I *want* to like musicals, but I always spend the second act praying for it to be over! But I absolutely loved Wicked. I loved the music, the story, and I teared up several times. I agree with the posters who said to check out YouTube clips. I didn't get to see it on Broadway, but I have so enjoyed watching clips of Idina Menzel's and Kristen Chenowith's performances online.

It's sooooooo good! Definitely get the soundtrack because whenever I see a show I'm unfamiliar with, I realize I can't understand it at all. I am familiar with so many shows, it took me a while to figure that out. The soundtrack won't ruin the story for you, either.

I think Wicked is especially good for establishment-questioning MDC mamas It has become very popular with high school students (all my brainy female students wore wicked shirts ) and I used some of the songs as compare/contrast text options when we were studying 1984 and The Bean Trees and etc.

And hey, I'm in San Diego, too. Hi, neighbor!

I love musicals, but Wicked is my all-time favorite! DH and I saw it in Columbus 2 years ago, and it is coming here to Toledo in April of next year. Tickets go on sale in June and we are finding things to sell so we can purchase tickets as soon as the doors open! It is a wonderful show! Get tickets and have a great time!
