I buy my Sashimi grade Salmon and other fish frozen at the local fish place and make the most amazing sushi... and I will not hesitate for a second to eat sushi at any good restaurant...
Also... Soft cheese... as was said... most cheese that you buy in the grocery store has been pasteurized and there is no worries at all in that case, it is the raw soft cheeses that may be a problem, especially if you are not used to eating them...

Thank you Paxye!
It's so weird, as soon as I get a BFP, I start feeling like I'm no longer in control of my body and my choices; I'm so ready to let anyone who's an "expert" dictate what's right for me. I'm going to have to work really hard to remember that everything has its risks and rewards, and that I'm the only one who gets to decide what MY beautiful, fun, stress-free pregnancy looks like. Common sense and moderation is what makes most sense to me... until the next 'lastest' study comes out and has me running scared all over again!

So, a few my own little rules, for now:
-Stay away from coffee (mostly), but allow myself some black tea.
-Avoid all those great, gooey, stinky cheeses

, and stick to hard and pasteurized.
-Bring on the chocolate!
-Eat cooked sushi, or make my own at home.
-Choose hot sandwiches, if possible.
-I'm OK with a half glass of wine a couple times a week after 1st trimester.
I'm sure I'll be adding to this, but that's a start! And again, these are just for me. We all have to listen to our own bodies.
