I think we just all want to keep our heads in the sand (where's an ostrich smiley when you need it?).

For the record, I have sent off three emails to assemblypersons in protest of this piece of junk. Now that I have some more addresses, I was going to send the same email to others, but I have to change my wording. My first email was asking it not to be introduced. Too late! I still want to protest though.

I wrote to the sponsors and to my reps--have to get to the Ed. committee now. I really thought there was a bunch of us from nj here.

Well, for those NJ homeschoolers lurking, call the Governor! Today (Monday the 12th) the Governor's office is taking an informal poll on the bill. Call up and tell them that you are opposed to Assembly bill 4033, the homeschooling bill.

Unfortunately, this is rather late and they may stop taking calls at 6 pm.

Some people are having trouble getting through because of so many calls, but just keep calling. I called and got put on hold immediately, but then a very nice woman came on. I asked if she needed any information from me but she said no (not even my name or town).

Made my call and I'll get my sister to call too. It wasn't too long of a wait. Hopefully, this will make an impact. My groups have been trying to spread the word to call.
