None taken. It means that while I have some concerns and reservations about vaccines like many parents, and I have some issues with vaccine research and how routine immunization campaigns are carried out in some places, I'm not "against" vaccines in general. So, overall, I'm supportive of them.

Actually, by that definition, it doesn't sound like I'm all that supportive of them at all, but my issues are more about reform and less about ideology. So, compared to the average poster in this forum, I think I lean pretty heavily in that direction, and I'm always careful to disclose that when I offer my opinion - especially when it's asked specifically in the "I'm not vaccinating" forum. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I would move before I let my kids get any vaccines. I will not be forced to give them any medication(that I am against),and then be solely responsible for any possible injury or death that would result from it.

I know courts force chemo so I suppose it is just a matter of time before they force vaccines. But it has to be a law.To many parents get bullied into vaccination(or other things) out of fear.

I was investigated following the home birth of my first child.I would have moved then had they persued the matter.Their opinions on birthing or vaccinations,or even newborn screens are just that: their opinions.Until it is law...get out of my face.

I also support a parents right to choose vaccines for their own children. That is their right to go with whatever medical care they feel is best for their family.

If someone or some entity said "let me put some toxic @#$^ into your child's body or I will take her away" I would run like my pants were on fire AWAY FROM THERE. But I have to admit, threads such as these give me food for thought when looking for jobs, that's for sure.

Yep. Having lived in Mississippi for 2 years and feeling utterly violated as a parent in the issue of vaccines, I know now where I can never live, unless we were ridiculously rich and could easily overcome the obstacles.

Mississippi
West Virginia
New York.

I totally get you.

I went from TX (yay for freedom of vax choice there!!!) to West Virginia. It's been a real weird experience for me, let me tell ya.

i was forced into my 2nd c-sec by being threatened with removal. if i was TRULY threatened over vax i would be out of the country in like 5 minutes.

I would leave, probably back to my parents country. At least there I can bribe someone for vaccine records and have them leave my kids the hell alone.

I love threads like this. When I see how many aware mamas there are, it gives me hope for the future.

If i had the legal choice and someone was trying to bully i would get a lawyer and fight it.

I'm glad to live in CA where we have both types of exemption to choose from.

I'd look for a third option, as I don't agree w/ the first two.

I couldn't find any info-which states have a stronger vaccine stand than others?

OP - were you in MI when CPS was called about vaxes ? MI has a philosophical exemption, right ? How does CPS respond to those calls, given that there is a philosophical exemption ? It doesn't sound like they would have legal grounds to do much of anything......

I'm in a state without a philosophical exemption, and wondering what it's like in a state that has it....thanks !

adding:

I just found this:

http://www.mi.gov/dhs/0,1607,7-124-5...9156--,00.html

"
Medical Issues
Immunizations-CPS is not authorized to investigate complaints (usually received from health care providers) that allege parents are failing or refusing to obtain immunizations for their children. The Michigan Public Health Code provides exceptions to the immunization requirements."

So I am guessing that if CPS is called on a non-vaxing parent in MI, and the complaint is lodged that the parents are neglecting vaccination, CPS should, by the law, know that they do not respond to this ?

I have had CPS called twice for not vaccinating by doctors. So this is near and dear to me.

Potter Cats study to see how this affects our overall ability to fight off illness and therefore how susceptible we may be/are to complications of vaccinating.
That is Pottinger from the 1940s.

So far, I think I'm the first to invoke the 2nd Amendment.
