quick, before you run or get rained on and while it is still professionally styled. Then you can take another one after you style it yourself and feel a bit more like you for comparison's sake.

I am wondering if there is a sleep-away camp for 3 year olds myself.

Shirt! At work! : I LOVE it! And a map to help us plan our trip! Hooray! :

Still have not found childcare for my LR this weekend...ugh. Might see about sending the kids up to the cabin with my parents. We'll see. Tomorrow AM I am due to run again, and I am planning on it.

But first, I have a yearling ewe who's lambing. So, back to the barn with me...

Okay, here we go. The close up is a self portrait, using the mirror to aim, so that's why the kind of goofy expression.
New haircut

Oh, and JenLove, do you care if I post some pics of the quilt I made for baby V.? I just found them when I went to download the haircut pics.

Cute, cute! The length suits your face and I do think it is an updated look (though we missed meeting each other in person at the race).

I have my Indy tee on today also. I wish more people would ask me about it.

When do you find the time to do it all?? quilting too?! knitting, medicine, momming, running. So many dingos make me feel like I am underachieving. I am a one thing at a time kind of person and tend to focus on things in a serial fashion. One winter I will knit, another I will quilt, another I will birth and in yet another I will run. I am in awe of how you do it all at once.

I like it, drjen. You look lively with the lighter color.

It's a small boy. : Mom is a first-timer and pretty nervous. I trimmed around her udder and milked out some colostrum just to help him out a little and make sure he's good to keep trying through the night. That boy wants to nurse! One side sort of seemed like someone had been there, but we'll know tomorrow for sure whether he's getting at her. I'll check again in the AM, maybe milk her again, and keep them locked up together for the day tomorrow.

Of course he is totally cute. And of course I smell like barn and fresh baby.

mommajb, I envy the mamas who have the focus to complete things. There are so many things I have not completed.

I really really love my shirt. Thank you Dingos! I can't wait to wear it.

Cute hair!!!

I too, am in awe of the amazing, motivated, smart, educated, talented, and wise women here! I always feel humbled when I read this thread, and inspired to do more, better, and all that! I want to be worthy of the name Dingo!

Speaking of, is it wrong to tell my 8 year old that if she gets half of her spelling sentences written within a short amount of time, I'll give her a cookie? This is the level of motivation I have stooped to. She did, however get more than half the sentences written, and earned her cookie. Most of them were around the topic of cookies, getting cookies, and eating cookies (certainly the cutest thing she did all day).

Another grammar question to throw out at you ladies. Remembering the great debate over the Dingos vs. Dingoes, I am wondering what do we refer to our children as? I have been calling the children of dingos "dinglets." Discuss.

:

i wore my t-shirt to my track workout and got lots of comments on it. sweet.

wear in good health, ladies!

drjen - it appears yours has arrived to champaign, IL. should be there tomorrow.

track workout kicked my butt tonight. i talked to the coach about a revised plan for a half mary and she thinks i won't have a problem, just might not get the speed i was hoping for. that's ok, i just want to finish.

the bay to breakers is saturday but i'm going to take a pass on that one.

I like that...dinglets.

Better than dingbats.

The students on campus drop the final a on our last name and add -lings when referring to my children. That might leave us with ding-a-lings.

More wise suggestions.

I am guessing most of you kind women will prefer dinglets.

7 miles in on the TM. I got all ready to run outside, I opened the door and a bolt of lightening almost struck me then the skies opened up. I hear one town around here got egg-sized hail during this storm but I didn't see it.

Does he have a snowsuit? LOL Send him on up. We'll teach him about agates and glaciers and bring him back around July 4th.

We're having similar issues here. Good times.

My running shirt came yesterday. Jen the local moms group is getting together a t shirt. Your design rocks the pants off of their design. I think you could make a little extra $$ by marketing it. How much does an ad in one of the big mags cost? Does Nike want to extend their demographic to include women of child bearing age?

I'm back from a drippingly wet 8 miles. I gotta give you Southern dingos major props. : I don't know how you run in this humidity stuff on a regular basis. Whew! Thank goodness the temperature wasn't too hot, or it would have been miserable. Instead, it was just really really sweaty and wet. Mostly shady, too. It was a really nice run considering how much I didn't want to do it! Once I got going, it felt pretty darn good.

I've got some ice on my knee and am trying to dry off a bit before trying to put my swimsuit on and meeting DS and family members down at the pool.

Dingalings !!!!

Can I throw my 3-next-week DD onto the "For Sale" list? She's got drama down to a science .

Great runs everyone, especially you, Gaye . Did you go on the beach again? DH raves about his beach runs when he was stationed in Charleston. I'm a wee bit jealous, I must say!

I was all set to swim this morning, but DS forgot his lunch at home, and DD's playdate for after preschool fell through, so no swim for now. Tonight, I WILL go to the Y, run two miles and then swim 2200m. Hold me to it. Please. I need it badly.

And I absolutely my new shirt! Unfortunately, I got the l/s version, so I'll have to wait a bit before I can wear it.

DrJen - I love the hairdo! Really cute and peppy!

: I have been known to use cookies as bait too, I hate that deep seated fear that somehow I'm going to be responsible for eating disorders further down the road but honestly I hope that as long as it's not the only thing that motivates children to do anything it's just a cookie.

I think that grammatically speaking dingo children should be referred to as pups. But I'd propose Dingleberries.

Marathoners - Um, are you all pretty much always a little sore somewhere once the mileage gets up around 20 miles+ a week? I ran 4 yesterday (didn't go to tkd, I just couldn't figure how to do a nice birthday dinner at a reasonable time without being around between 5:30-6:45) and this morning my knees that that loose disjointed feel. My quads are still sore and my ankle ache. Honestly! I feel like an old lady. Is this normal? Or are these symptoms that I'm not truly cut out for this long distance running? I'm having a serious crisis of confidence.

But regardless, today I'm putting on my : MAGIC DINGO SHIRT : and get those miles in too.
Thank you Poppy!

that's so nice of you to say, thank you. my dh says the same thing to me a lot because i enjoy coming up with stuff like that so much. i guess since i am not a classically trained graphic designer and have worked with some really kick ass ones, i shy away from doing anything legit with it, besides dropping it into my portfolio as an 'extra'

i think i might put some of the designs into a cafe press shop and then blast it to people who can pass the word. i just don't know if cafe press has technical tees. but a cotton, regular tee would be good for other time wear, ykwim. i have another one i came up with that is a marathon bib and instead of a number it says 'mother'. i think i put that in there last year, i can't remember
post #480 of 886
Poppy, I would order more of your designs from cafepress, especially if they offer tech tees. I would have to space it out over time and use them as little rewards for myself as I met various goals so I am not going to make you rich but you can count me as a fan.
