I would imagine a ligament injury would be. I just had this really funny mental picture of you walking and every time you took a step it would let out a noise like a mouse squeaking and I couldn't get past it.

Hello ladies, I've missed this thread. Life with a toddler is an amazing yet hectic adventure!

Leilamus - Congrats on the pregnancy!

Lionessmom - Congratulation on your wedding and pregnancy, I can't wait to see the beautiful pictures.

Bellaluna - Sending good thoughts your way :

We picked up our first composter this weekend, I've been feeling great about the fact that DS will grow up with composting and recycling being just a regular part of life (things I'd never heard of as a child). It's also been wonderful to watch him exploring our back yard. I love spring! :

LM- Yay! for a wonderful wedding. It's really special you got your grandma's bloodstone too. I have a nice gold nugget necklace from my grammy.

Ambystoma- I spend too much time on etsy too. I get the best inspiration there. ( I've been sucked in again!- this time looking for chakra charms like these http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3D54%26um%3D1)

KittyWitty- also try http://www.shipwreckbeads.com/search...&cmdSearch.y=0
lots of stuff there!

BellaLR- I'm here for you if you want to talk too.

Lioness- w00t! :

Bella- it's going to work out

DoK- youch! Hope it feels better fast... I did something similar while living in Turkey and couldn't get any treatment. That foot still has problems now and then.

I forgot to do this last month, so here is the link to my beltaine beads. I think they came out pretty neat. The only problem is they're a bit "heavier" than the prayer strands I normally make so they are a bit harder to wear. I've been taking them off at night too. I think I might use the last few leftover beads to make an anklet that I'll leave on till solstice.

Beautiful necklace Clay!!!

Lioness - yay for a great day!! I have a gold heart locket that my gma gave to me as a small kid. It was stolen and I found it again 3 years later at a pawn shop. This little gma trinkets are so important!

DoK - I think you should just get a pass to 2010. 2009 has been too hard on you!

I am sneaking a minute while DH and DD are out visiting MIL. I am trying to clean my disaster of a house. I bet the neighbors stayed here over the weekend while we were away and had a frat party or something considering how awful it is!

Honestly, I've come to believe that is what life is like as a single mom to a special needs child (Autism; and Immune Deficiency). His needs come first and I always seem to postpone my own personal needs. And because I have such high stress on a regular basis, it's no wonder I'm a physical mess.

Know what I do to help me calm myself and get to sleep at night? (no, get your mind out of the gutter.)
I fantasize about somehow becoming very wealthy. And I throw love in there sometimes, too.

i've been getting us into our burrowing into the deep dark depths of summer mode... think winter for most of you, that's where we'll be for the next few months.

speaking of, if there are any spare vibes, i wouldnt mind a few... looks like we may have been exposed to swine flu.

clay, that's beautiful, lady!
bella, hugs hon. hang in there....
lm~congrats! cant wait for pics!

welcome newbies and lurkers!
:

i got myself talked into doing some work for dh's org, so i may not be on much for the next while, but i'll be thinking of you all!

House hunting.. Did you treasuremap with us last month?? If not, I'd suggest putting it on a vision board.. find pics of homes that 'feel' like the home you want, snip phrases out of magazines (or print em off the web), write affirmations along the lines of 'I'm so greatful that we've found the perfect home for us!' and sticky them all on a peice of posterboard (any size will work). Put it somewhere you will see it daily and take a moment whenever you see it to read the affirmations & focus on it.

I second Etsy for goddess jewelry

Yeah, so I know there are lots of links, but I waste many days on etsy. So, there are some pendants starting at $2 and some very expensive, really nice stuff. Also, there are many that are more in the Venus of Willendorf style that are pretty.
OMG don't you do that again lol... do you know how much of a time suck Etsy is for me? lol. Oh.. I see it is for you too My fave goddess pendants on there are the handmade lampwork glass goddess beads.. So gorgeous!

Stay positive... How long does his deployment have left? SO hard to work these things out when he's 10k miles away

Wow how amazing that you found your locket that way! I totally agree about grandma trinkets. I have my grandmothers original wedding bands from 1946.. they had to be cut off her finger when she was pregnant with MY momma because she didn't take them off when her hands swelled. Before she died she had mom take them to be repaired and had the bands soldered together as they were too thin. They are currently misplaced But they are IN my house so I know that I'll find them soon. And I was given my moms aquamarine ring when I was home in December.. I remember how badly she wanted that ring and how surprised she was when my step father actually got it for her.

May you meet a totally wonderful man who adores your little guy, and just so happens to be disgustingly rich so that you dont' have to stress so much

I am off to take my boybarians to the shop as it was labour day here yesterday and nothing was open.. and we have no bread or milk I tell ya this country looks for any excuse for a day off work LOL.
Cari- in my house no milk or bread could make for a major fit, mainly by the 1 yr old.

Bella- you have been in my prayers all day! I will keep praying for you!

Aweyn- oh no, not the flu- sending lots of healing and health your way!

Etsy- oh no, gotta stay away. I did buy some lovely celtic knot buttons for the wrap I am making.
Cari- About 3 months left. I am praying we can work things out and that he doesn't end up hating me for going to the FRG who went to his command.

My Mom left about 45 minutes ago. She offered to stay but, I told her no. I want to crumble into pieces without her here, yk? I've not cried much for hours and I just need to be alone. I took a nice hot bath and took a couple of sprays of rescue remedy. I also bought some Hyland's insomnia pills because I need help sleeping right now.

Thank you all for the prayers, vibes, etc. Keep em coming.

i also have to dig out my recipe for tincture.

tee hee. I finally got in to the see a podiatrist. He said either I have a torn ligament or there could be a fracture. Those things don't tend to show up on regular xrays (where my injury is). So, he put me in a cast boot and I go for an MRI in the morning.

My foot is killing me after he poked around. Owie!
ow, mama! you gonna be ok eventually?

YAY! i knew it would turn out wonderful.

baby stuff...why bother? people will come out of the woodwork to give you stuff. they did for me, and i wasn't even in any playgroups yet cause ds was my first (and only) baby. i realized when he was five that he'd gotten his first new clothes. as in not used well...he'd had some as a newborn, but not since. people gave me stuff left and right, and when ds grew out of them, i passed them on. love the mama network!

funny this should be a topic...my paternal grandma, who i favor physically as well as personality-wise, used to wear her hair in a tight bun on the back of her head. she put this really pretty jeweled thing around her bun, made of silver metal and clear stones. i now have it-- but i came by it in a funny way. my cousin, who is my age but actually my dad's first cousin, had it for some reason. she showed it to me 4 years ago when i visited (hadn't seen her in years and years). then 2y ago when she visited me, she brought it for a gift
if there's one thing people would probably remember about my grandma, it's that bun thingy!

me, i grab tiny moments when i can-- i have trained myself that even if i get 5 seconds on the toilet, i blank my mind out and listen to the sounds of the moment. or the sound of just my breathing. those tiny moments sometimes save my sanity.
but yes, i'd like your guy's brother

boybarians :

order me up a guy like that, too, please!

cari-- find out if what you have is called a "bible cyst". i don't know the proper name for it. maybe you can google to find out. a bible cyst i had on the top of my foot once, and i found out that you don't need the cortisone shot, but what you can do is vigorously (as in painfully and hard) massage it. it will break up, but it hurts like the dickens. and it probably will keep coming back, but keep massaging it. have someone else do it (DH?). mine came back for awhile, but it hasn't been back in years now.

i thought it was called a "bible cyst" because people prayed over it to go away...actually it's because the bible is a big heavy book and people would whack it to break it up!

saphire- I actually recently started chakra-based meditation, so I now, of course, want chakra jewelry-I didn't even think of that! Oh, etsy, you've foiled me again!

wombatclay-that is a ridiculously gorgeous necklace! The creativity of ladies on this board never ceases to amaze me.

Maiasaura-I think I know what you mean about the pretty bun thing. I think one of my elementary school teachers had something similar, but it was completely beaded-I believe she was from Spain, but that was quite a few years ago...I haven't seen anything like it since-I bet your grandmother's is beautiful.

Morning all.

LM-congrats on a beautiful wedding.

Cloudy day here, looks like rain. I have two kids down with cold/flu? I am sure I will be busy running up and down the stairs today.

i want one of those sit-n-stand strollers. with matching carseat. everything else is covered by friends. i have a sling but with my prolapse i cant use it for very long. so if we have a long way to go i want a stroller with a jump seat. it is $200 i think, with a car seat. and i need summer maternity clothes. i borrowed my friends clothes but they are a size smaller than me :<. so nothing fit.
lol, maia, you'd send me to the hospital with that combo. i'm horribly allergic to echinacea. i think we're ok, though.... if dh makes it thru today without being ill, i'll say we're home free.

yay grandma trinkets. i have a ring my grandpa made for my grandma.

re: chakra jewlery-- interesting thing i've been doing lately is only wearing the coresponding stones near the related chakra (ex, heart chakra at heart, not as earings or anklet, etc). i like it!

(not clicking on etsy links. not clicking on etsy links.......)

oh, bella. three months still? why did i think it was less than that? hugs, hon. hope you get some sleep.

RE: CAMP, those interested in hosting, please read:
i was going to wait to post this, but i just got the email with my "project" so i'd better make it easier on myself and just announce that we're looking at doing camp slightly differently this year, a workshop based, more flexable thing, to better acomodate schedules and such. if you're interested in hosting one, and arent already on the "list", please PM me for details... those of you already so lucky to be on my list, , i'll write back to you later this week and we will work out details. you rock.

as true testimony to just how long i've been out of "the workforce" (not that i was ever much of a "force" per say, lol...), it only took a few brief moments of not being able to get computer programs to co-operate before i lost my calm... i took off to the garden to water, cut flowers, and ground myself for another try... much to my delight, i found that my sweet peas have re-bounded from their may-day slump, and offered me about 5 vases full of sweet blooms...

then, coming back to try again, i noticed my moon task bar was looking very close to full, so i decided to check my favorite moon site to see if the full moon articles were up (which they're not), but found instead this lovely little bit on Venus... just had to come share it. i wish i could send you all some sweet peas. i'll try and post pics later....

Quote:
Evoking the spirit of Venus can be a kind of prayer. If you find yourself worrying now, you could try this. Find the prettiest thing in the room and stare it for a good long while. Eat some chocolate. Spray the room with the scent of lavender and roses. Make sure you’re surrounded by beauty, especially before you go to sleep and when you wake up.
:: wishing you all beauty today!

Thanks for that Jess! I'm struggling to get all the home building finances in order right now & feel overwhelmed. The pms doesn't help much either, lol.
Healthy vibes for all of you too!

LM- have you added a pic of the stroller combo you want to your TM? ( I added a pic of a couple riding bikes together on mine, thinking I was only using it as a couples image, and last weekend we all got new bikes- I only realized how fast they manifested yesterday!)

redveg- I hope the sick kiddos don't run you ragged!

Ambystoma- I'm really starting to get into chakras too. Awensayl & I are talking about doing something regarding chakras at some point in the future.
Will you share your chakra meditations with me please? also- your username intrigues me- what is it?
