Most schools you have ten years.

Hey all, sorry we have been so scarce. We have been really busy here with Nana visiting and trying to do some work on the house. It sounds like everyone else has been pretty busy too! Today my baby turns 3!! : Where has the time gone?? She got a trampoline from DH's folks, and she is really excited about it. We are taking her out to lunch today and she is spending quality time with her Nana before she has to go back home tomorrow.

Emans - big on the struggles you are going through! I hope you can get some answers about E's weight soon.

elmh - glad you had a good trip (well, without the whining part). We haven't made a trip over 90 minutes because DD wigs out being in the car seat for too long. We really need one of those big campers so she could run around while we drive.

doularn - on the school stuff. Making that transition to going back to school is so rough. I hope you can get the course work figured out. What classes might you have to take again?

crazy - Congrats on the internship!! Way cool. We will miss you at pg though!

peace - glad to hear you are getting around better! I hope you can avoid the surgery.

Happy Birthday C (by the way am I supposed to know about party plans).

DoulaRN, well then I'll be starting from scratch too, or maybe by the time the M is older D will be able to afford to keep me a kept woman

Happy Birthday C and L!

Little S's had an appt for a sweat test today. Not fun at all and he ended up crying for about 10 minutes. And what's worse is I was all alone and he was so pissed at me. Well hopefully the test will show nothing (we don't want Cystic Fibrosis, thank you very much.)

My house is so messed up I don't even want to think about it.

Oh elm sorry. I can't remember how long it too to get the sweat test results, but E was younger so he really didn't care. Seriously how much can these kids put us through.

It's after 12 I'll take that margarita

Can I ask what the sweat test is?
It determines (somehow?) if he has Cystic Fibrosis or not. They clean his arm and then tape little electrodes to his arm, wait 5 minutes, then tape a thing that catches sweat over that. He has to be really hot (sweats, long sleeve shirts plus a sweater this morning) and sweaty for it to work. It's not painful, a little tickilish maybe, but when you're 2 and someone is holding your arm and putting things on it and you're hot and cranky, well it just sucks.

elmh I hope it doesn't take long to find out the results.

Sorry we had to miss the party crazy. This is Nana's last night here, and C really wanted to spend her birthday with her favorite person before she had to go back home. I can't blame her, I want Nana to stay longer too (I actually get stuff done! ) I hope you all have a great time. Happy Birthday to E too!

Emans - I re-sent the invite. The address you sent me is the same one I already sent it to, so I don't know what happened. But you should have it now

Thanks for the party crazy! Ds is asleep right now in the car clutching his balloon. We all had fun.
Thanks for the party! We had a blast! And I'm thrilled that Little S is no longer terrified of the jumpers and noise.
Thanks all for coming! E had a good time with all her friends, even if everyone exhausted by the end! LOL

Blue - I can certainly understand that I hope you had a nice (and productive!) night as well. Happy B-day C!!

Burkabee - as elmh said, it's a test for cystic fibrosis. CF kids have very salty sweat, so this test just measures the amount of salt in the sweat to see if it's normal or not. As an aside, midwives of old used to lick the foreheads of newborsn to check for CF -- apparently the sweat is so salty that it's very obvious, even though sweat is normally a little salty.

That's interesting Crazy. Thanks for explaining it better.

Thanks for the party. C lost her balloon in the front yard and lost her mind!! My sweet big boy L decided to let his go too so C would feel better. Then they both felt bad and L was sad that C didnt feel better and everyone whined and cried the rest of the night.

Dh and I got into it tonight about a project due Thursday for L that isnt gonna be ready. I blame Dh for not getting it done, Dh blames Ds that he cant pay attention long enough to finish it. I got some other feedback from one of his teachers and I told DH that he needed to talk to L's doctor and I wanted to start meds just till the end of the school year to see if it makes ANY difference at all. Might be too late for that by the time they get us an appointment.

So I am going to have to spend L's birthday doing this F&*())ing project that we knew about for two weeks. I also have ten grants applications to read by 6pm. THIS SH&T is why I cannot go to a midwifery program that makes me travel. This is THIRD grade, what will I do in fiifth or sixth grade He really should have stayed home with D tonight to work on it.

Ya know, just when I thought I might get to have a life and a marriage.

It's okay Doularn. I don't have any results yet anyways. I'm going to call our doctor today to see if anything has come back.

Burke, I love the pics.
