if you put a user on ignore

will it stop them from pming you? Is there a way to just block the PM's (the person is interesting on the board, but I don't want the harassing pm's whenever they want to cross the line and they send it via PM instead of saying it on the board where they may get in trouble.)

Yes it will prevent them from pming you. Their pms to you will just go out into space and you will not receive them.

However if you are receiving nasty pms and would like assistance we would encourage you to forward them to an administrator.

I asked them to stop pming me. I'll forward if they continue but I think I'll just put them on ignore, I can always click "view post" to see what they say.
