Progesterone cream and symptoms

A few months ago my hormone levels were really low and I started using the natural hormone creams which brought them up quickly. I wasn't using any hormones this cycle when we conceived, but was taking wild yam and chaste tree. My ND said it can't hurt to start using the progesterone cream again so I did this morning. I am soooo CRABBY now! I was fine yesterday and the day before (except for the nausea) and now today I am bitchy and have no preggo symptoms. I swore I wouldn't freak out about every little thing yet here I am out of my mind. Lol I want my nausea back! I guess once I start using the cream I have to continue so that is what I will be doing. I am unsure whether or not to keep taking the yam and chaste tree though. I got bloodwork done today so I am very anxious to know what my levels are. *sigh* I'm ready for the 2nd trimester.

I had low progesterone, known to me through tests and charting, and I was using natural progesterone cream during my Luteal Phase's (time between ovulation and period), in an attempt to lengthen my LP's. I haven't used it in a couple months, and last cycle, I had a persistent corpus luteum cyst with 19dpo and MAJORLY negative pregnancy tests, and then got my period, and then this month, my progesterone was obviously ok. I've been thinking about using it, but I think it worked enough to get my body kickstarted, so am not going to. My baby's life is already known to the Lord.
sorry for the novel, just working out my own thoughts on this, hopefully it's a little help.

I haven't noticed any symptoms from taking it. I took it last time (with my miscarriage) and with the baby before that (live birth). I'm taking the pills, though. I have the cream and used it before I knew for sure I was pg this time. I hope your levels come back great!

(DDC crashing from November)

Yup. I definitely noticed that progesterone cream increased various symptoms. For me it was breast tenderness and sensitivity to smells. Right before I'd use the cream, I was smelling like normal. Then I'd put some on and BAM super-nose!

Me too.

I just started crinone (progesterone gel) this Monday and my symptoms vanished almost instantly. My betas are climbing since then, though, so hopefully all is well... the symptoms do seem to be slowly creeping back. Hang in there!

Thanks all. I am feeling better about it. As my ND was saying it cannot hurt it could only help. So instead of chancing it I'm just using a little, kind of like an insurance I guess. Dh and I were talking about it too, and I remembered when I started the hormones in the first place I got very moody but it only lasted a few days. I am feeling much less moody today and by the late afternoon/evening I am feeling pregnant. So all in all I am feeling better about it! I should get my bloodwork results on Monday.
