Allergy concerns- green poop and blood in stool

My DD is 4 1/2 almost 5 months old. She has been having green poops for about a week or 2 now. I haven't really kept track because we moved about 3 weeks ago and settling in and all that fun stuff. Anyway, I have a dr's appt for her and DS's checkup next week, but I'm hesitant about the dr, because of vaccine issues and all that.
Anyway, I'd like you mamas' opinions. Her poo is green and seedy with some yellow in it, and today i found small traces of blood, not a whole ton, but enough to have me worried. I'm a little concerned about allergies. I've no experience with them since no one in my family is allergic to anything that I know of.

Any advice would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks mamas!

Bloody stools should always be evaluated by a dr. Hope all is well.

Have you seen this ped yet or will this be your first visit? Most Drs will let you come right in, at least ours will, if you have a diaper that might have blood in it. It takes but a quick second to test it (though I don't believe they are always accurate, grrr) and that can at least possibly put your mind at rest. Do you see any tears on her bum that could've caused the blood? Have you started any solids recently?

This would be the first time seeing this ped. She doesn't have a rash or anything that would leave blood on her bum, so I know it's in the stool. I haven't started her on solids yet, she's exclusively BFed.
I did call my old ped, who i trust very much (she's very supportive of NL and AP parenting) and she called me back right away and told me it could possibly be a dairy allergy to lay off on the dairy and see what happens.

Your ped sounds like my ped - my 2 mo had green, watery stools for a week or so when I went in for his checkup, and she actually did a test for blood in the stool while we were at the office, no waiting. His came up negative, but she also suggested laying off the dairy. Since then, I've also gone off soy - there was a clear reaction/change when I had some soy milk. It may be worth cutting that out as well.

For us, ds's stools turned back to yellow for about a week after losing milk & soy, then went back to green. I highly suspect an intolerance to eggs, given the timing (around Easter - too many hard-boiled eggs!), it took me a while to get that's what it might be, and as soon as I made the connection, I went off them. His stool is still greenish, and I'm going to give our ped a call this week and talk about it some more. Frustrating! I hope avoiding dairy solves it for you guys!

IME it's a little late to start having problems w/ dairy unless she was having issues before you weren't noticing. Most kids start to react about 6-8 wks, can happen sooner w/ a strong family hx like my kids. Has she been sick lately? It could secondary lactose intolerance if she's been sick lately and it could be upsetting her stomach. Probiotics would help w/ that.
