My son, Ezra McLean (UPDATED with pics)

Thread Starter
Hi Everyone! I have a son! Ezra McLean was born at 11:17pm last night, April 30 and is wonderfully healthy and cute. Photobucket is blocked at work so I can't put a pic up. He weight a whopping 9lbs 2oz, 20in, but doesn't look like a chunk. He was born at 38w2d, little bit of vernix. He is nursing so so. We have some things to learn and had some effects of the birth. Birth story to follow but it ended in a c-section due to a persistent posterior head that would not budge past my pubic bone despite almost 2 hours of purple pushing that felt like I was tearing my whole pelvis apart every two minutes(never experienced hemmorroids like that before). We're at peace with it and know the Lord God was protecting him.

The hospital was great in honoring all our wishes for Ezra and he scored 8/9 on apgars, came out crying and very pink. They let Dh find out the sex and announce to me. His heart rate was very strong the entire labor, and though we are sad it ended in sugery, we are thankful he had a decent trial of labor.

More detail to follow. We'll be here till Sunday I think and I feel pretty good so far. It took SEVERAL hours until I was able to sleep. I was going on 24 hour by the time I was able to fall asleep at 6 am today and have had three decent naps. Catheter is still in though so hopefully I can pee when it comes out .

UPDATE:

I couldnt wait to hear again from you!

I love the name Ezra and hopefully we'll get to see him soon. I'm sorry to hear about your c-section, but you tried and the important thing is that he's healthy, I hope you have a fast recovery and dont forget those pictures!
