So I just discovered Gro-baby one-size and am curious if anyone has used them and can share an opinion?

I'm curious too! They seem like a gimmick to me....with bummis or thirsties or other similar cover you just remove flat/prefold, wipe cover if needed and place another one in.....and have more folding alternatives....the grobaby seem pricey!!! I think the mesh would be hard to wipe out if poop gets on them and I think you could get 6 small Bummis and 4 medium Bummis plus 36 infant and 24 premium prefolds for half the price of enough of the GroBabys.....I'm not sure how they are more convenient......I think maybe they are selling to newbies...the snaps are an added step and you can't fold in a way that protects from yellow breast milk poop so the covers might need more changes......I'm sticking to my flats/fitteds/wool combo!

I have one of the covers and LOVE it but, they are a bit pricey and you can't wipe the inside down, you have to rinse and let dry.
The velcro is different then the regular type you see, it's finer like the kind on disposables. The soaker and doubler that come with the cover are awsomely absorbant.
I'll write up a review once my cranky baby goes down for a MUCH needed nap.

I don't know that I would call them a gimmick - i haven't tried them yet, but plan on it for the next baby. Moms like different diapers for different reasons. I was perfectly happy to use prefolds on my baby from birth to about 6 months. But, then I had a hard time with getting a good fit and I found pockets and fitteds SO much easier. I still use prefolds occasionally on my 2 year old, but I really prefer the ease and fit of the "gimmicky" diapers. I HATE having to swish and clean a PF. And I don't like trifolding...So to me, the things that are appealing about the Gro-baby is the trimmness, the fact that the insert is more like a fitted with elastic at the legs, and the absorbancy. I don't think you NEED expensive diapers, but I would have quit CDing by now if I had to keep using prefolds.

I read a good number of the 35 pages. The short version: most people seemed to like them, people suggested solutions to those that had problems, people talked about wanting more colors/snaps, and some pics of kids wearing the diapers (to show fit, trimness of diaper, color). There may be more info in the thread as I may have missed some of the info b/c I didn't read all the pages but that's what I took from the thread.
I admit I ordered some. I'm still new to cloth diapering so I don't know if I will be able compare to how they are to many other diapers as I have only used fuzzi bunz so far. I'll come back and post what I think after I've used them. It'll probably be about 2 weeks before I have a chance to evaluate them b/c I just ordered them yesterday.

I've tried them and really like them. I think they are a little bulky on the smallest setting, but are great on the medium and large setting. The insert is super absorbant and they are very easy to use. I like the all-in-two system. It's not really a gimmick, just a new style of diapering. The AI2's have been out for a while, but this is the first one size AI2 that I know of.
Overall, I think they are great!

OK, I said I would come back with what I thought after using them. However, remember that this is coming from a person who is fairly new to cloth diapering.
So far, I like them overall. I like the hook and look closure - it is really soft and not scratchy and seems to grip really well. The snap in liner is really thick and absorbs a lot. The one thing I don't like about the liner is that it seems to bunch up in the front and when you are diapering a boy, that's not really a good thing. The liner is wider in the back than in the front and I wish the front was a little wider. I do wish the snap on the liner was more towards the front instead of in the middle (one snap in the back and one is about in the middle) - that may help with the bunching problem I've had. Then again, I may just need to adjust the way I put the diaper on my child. I'll probably find what works best for him after using them more. Right now, I am switching between these and Fuzzi Bunz with a couple Bum Genius as well. I do like how trim the Gro Baby diaper is - seems trimmer than FB or BG on my child. I've used them on my 2.5 year old and my 5 month old. Of course, the first time I had this diaper on my 2.5 year old child, he let out a huge poop but the diaper contained it all. I also like that it's organic cotton. The FB that I have seem to stink after my child pees and I've read that may be due to the fabric of the FB. I don't know how they compare to diapers other than FB and BG though.
