I've had no PPAF (nursing 20 mo DS) but I thought I'd started ovulating in January. DH and I haven't been that 'active' lately but this week I've been feeling really hyperactive and happy! Anyway, yesterday I tested in the afternoon and the positive line was faint. DH thinks it's a false reading.....but I'm not so sure!
I'll test again tomorrow and see what it's like in the morning.
I've no idea how far along I'll be but I'm guessing very early....

Welcome!!! I think a line is a line (although I'm not sure about Russian tests) Most tests don't give false positives, if there is any line you're preggo. Hopefully it gets thicker - congrats!!!! BTW - I am a Moscow expat, living in Pacific Northwest now...

I did a clearblue this morning, first thing, and it says I'm not pregnant
Ah well, always next month....
Thing is though, with no PPAF, it's hard to know when to test or if it's even worth testing!!! We're starting to nightwean DS so maybe that'll kick start things.

How much time passed between taking these tests??

Welsh... I pulled the FRER out of the trash and what you are seeing there is an invalid test, that reads positive... from Friday night (Friday the 24th) I was convinced I was prego even though i had trash-dug that one LOL

I tested again on Sunday BFN, Monday, BFN, Tuesday, Wednesday, BFN BFN BFN. Thursday I trash dug again, and found a faint BFP... lol Friday I still hadn't gotten AF and began getting faint positives on FRER, and all the others you see. Those tests were (almost ALL done on Friday the 1st of May)

Because I was worried about the "faintest" of lines, I tested again yesterday and today and my lines are a lot darker but I don't have pics yet since my camera is out of battery at the moment.

I will post my Clearblue pee-stick from today this afternoon for comparison's sake!

(yes, I am aware - I have issues LOL) I can't stop POAS because of the fist DARK garbage-BFP and all the BFNs I thought maybe I had caught a chemical so the FAINT BFPs scared me... now they're getting darker

fascha, I was also getting really faint lines at the beginning (I found out at 12DPO) but they started getting thicker a couple of days ago. This morning I had a nice thick BFP. I was scared that the baby wasn't sticking and was a chemical as well, but really faint lines are not an indicator, I was drinking and peeing a lot so even my FMU was dilute, and I was just stressing unnessesarily. It took at least 5 days for the tests to start getting obviously
darker.

So...the first test I did was an old one I found (not expired or anything but maybe 6 months old). 2 lines = pregnant
Then I went to the drugstore and bought a multi-pack of clearblue. 2 lines. Then I figure out that the Russian on the box says Ovulation kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!
Two lines, with the one on the left being faint, means NO SURGE.

Then buy a PG test, also clearblue, and it's negative.

So, my question is, how soon after DTD would a test show as positive?

Don't count on the OPKs! I am testing positive on tests - VERY positive - BLARING positive, but totally, utterly negative on the OPK. I mean, no test line at all. Nothing. Nada.

So, for some it might work, but for others, like me, the OPK as pregnancy test thing doesn't hold up! I wonder if it's because the OPKs I am using are not very sensitive. I will try again in a few days I suppose

Welsh that varies from woman to woman but I didn't get a positive until 16-17 days after DTD, it really depends on the woman but I wouldn't count yourself out just yet. I had so many BFNs AFTER the BFP that I dug out of the trash, and didn't start getting FAINT BFPs till nearly a week later.
