Who has a nursling too?

Well we never thought we would be so lucky as to get knocked up after my 1st PPAF, but it happened! I was supposed to borrow Adventures in Tandem Nursing from my LLL's lending library but got knocked up waaaaay faster than I thought! LOL
Now I'm so paranoid about m/c but I will not restrict my 10mo BFing so I was hoping you fine ladies might have some good threads to direct me to or links that might ease my mind? TIA

I caught the first egg too! My DD is 18 mo old... but nurses like a new born! I don't see he stopping anytime soon! I have adventures in nursing too. I havent had any discomfort yet! I really dont even feel prego, except for my massive belly (ALREADY!) I'm thin... so it shows quick.

I have a nursling too. He is 22 months and I am really hoping he will wean in the second trimester. I am not sure how I am feeling about me tandem nursing. He only nurses a couple of times a day so I would be really surprised if made it all the way thru pregnancy.

If it helps, for my second, third and fourth pregnancies I nursed the previous baby up until about the 8th month with no problems. Just make sure you're eating and drinking enough. I have read sometimes that the milk taste can change and the nursling may self-wean for that reason though. For this pregnancy I am currently nursing my 19 month old.

My dd is still nursing too. She's 19 months and nursing like a newborn.

my son is 18 months old. i expect he'll wean during the second trimester, but i'm fine if he doesn't. my other two both weaned during my second trimester. asher nursed through my last pregnancy, which ended in miscarriage at almost 12 weeks, and never slowed down nursing. but he was younger then.

I have a 2.5 year old nursling too! She nurses to sleep for nap and night and then nurses for the last part of her nap and ALL NIGHT LONG! It is bugging me a bit right now b/c I am having trouble falling back asleep. I won't be doing anything when milk decreases and I am hoping she will wean. I really doubt she will though. Heck she would nurse off of our dog if we would let her. A ni-ni is a ni-ni to her regardless of who's it is or if it has any milk. It worries me that she will want to nurse more when my supply dips!

I'm currently nursing a soon to be 14 month old. I am in pain, but I still do it. i am just going to make sure I eat properly so I have enough nutrients to go around

We were going to start TTC in December if we hadn't got our BFP by "throwing caution to the wind" and who would have thought we would get so lucky? I am getting Adventures in Tandem Nursing from my Doula and LLL leader this week and I was supposed to have read it BEFORE getting knocked up! LOL Oh well... I'll catch up!

I am still nursing my 2.5 yo, too.

i've been trying to cut down when we started ttc, but she is so, so attached to it. my supply is so low already.

i'm not sore either, which is why i didn't think i was pregnant. i was really sore with my first pregnancy, but not this one, so far. maybe because the ducts are already working?

Alright next question: Is anyone else nursing a lo with food allergies? My dd (and I) can't have gluten, dairy, soy, corn, eggs, or chocolate. I do advanced meal planning and had my ND look over the meals to see if it was nutrionally sound for pregnancy. She said it was an optimal diet and looked great. So I am choosing to see it as a blessing. I eat nothing processed, no restraunt/fast food, and hardly any sugar. There will be no caving in to cravings or unhealthy eating...remind me in a few months that I said this is a BLESSING! It is also good for the babe b/c they will automatically be on this diet so hopefully we won't go through what we did with my dd (it was rough)!

Yes, but DS is 3.5 and nurses only at night now. We have been working toward gentle, mama-led weaning.

Yes, still nursing my 18-month-old son with no plans to stop. He still nurses 4-5 times a day!

I have a 15 month old nursling, still nursing 4+ times during the day at 1-2 times at night. No plans to stop and will consider tandem nursing if he still wants to nurse when the new baby is born. My nips are SORE right now though!
