He left me on his messenger so I sent him a casual message when I noticed his status was 'back in _hometown_' and asked how his visit home was going. Then we were really formal and awkward via chat on and off for the evening, and then around midnight it exploded into this long intimate heart wrenching talk, which I have read and re-read today and you guys are right. He's selfish and he should have deleted me from his messenger so as to avoid this. He should have also explained to me when he made the promise, that he and I wouldn't be in touch anymore, so I wouldn't have been left wondering why the sudden drop off from lots of communication to none.
