What does mucus/plug look like?

I've been watching like a hawk whenever I got the bathroom for any sign of impending labor.

This morning I had a little tiny bit of what looked like EWCM on the TP, with no pink tinge whatsoever. DH and I did DTD last night so I suppose it could have been leftovers, but (TMI warning) but that usually comes in a big chunk rather than in little pieces, and later on in the day .

So, could it be some plug? Is the plug clear and stretchy like EWCM? For some reason I always pictured it being opaque.

What did your mucus look and feel like? Do we even get EWCM this late in the game?

With my last, it was very thick and a huge opaque thing with blood in it.

I am having a lot of ewcm type stuff right now. i think it could be the beginnings of plug. With my first, it was huge and opaque. I never noticed it with my second.

Mine fell out right before I started pushing I had been on the toilet and when I stood up this big blob of bloody goo fell out on the floor. My midwife said that it was the biggest mucus plug that she had ever seen!!

I only remember it from DS1. It looked like someone had blown their nose on my underwear. Totally looked like snot to me. Yuk.

Really, it just looked like snot? I've been having little bits of that (TMI) for the past few days, and then today there was quite a bit more. It's not totally consistent though, it may not be there every time. However, far more frequent now that it was a week ago.

Yes. It looked just like snot. But lots of snot. Maybe snot mixed with gelatin? It was slimy/stretchy like snot too.

Yeah. That's why it turns my stomach to think about loosing a huge, fist-sized piece of mucus plug on the floor... All I can think of is seeing this big pile of snot.

Yup, as soon as I saw the title of the thread I was planning to reply "snot". The thick, chunky kind.
